Wow…once again, the Marine Parents family has come together to make the (seemingly) impossible possible. Thanks to YOU, Marines in Afghanistan will be able to enjoy our Girl Scout Cookie Campaign one last time.
Just two short days ago, we were in a bind and unsure if we would be able to get the cookies to the Marines. We had raised barely $2,000 of our $12,000 goal and the outlook was bleak. And then, once again, you all saved the day.
In less than 48 hours, Marine families, friends, and supporters joined forces to bring in an additional $16,000. This is absolutely amazing. The amount of love and support you all have shown for the Marines is phenomenal.
We truly appreciate all that you have done in support of our Girl Scout Cookie Campaign over the last nine years. Time and again, you’ve come through in helping us send a taste of home to Marines deployed to combat zones, much to their delight, and this year was no different. Thank you for helping make our final Girl Scout Cookie Campaign the most successful one ever and for helping us end this campaign on a high.
God bless and Semper Fi,

Today, Thursday, June 06, 2013, 30 Girl Scouts and 10 adult volunteers (Scout leaders as well as parents) showed up at our facility in Columbia, MO at 8:30 am to begin packing care packages to be sent to troops in Afghanistan and Africa. Each care package contained 10 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, playing cards, DVDs, beef jerky, ramen noodles, granola bars, wet wipes, a toothbrush, and toothpaste.
The girls represented seven scout troops, all from Columbia, Missouri, and one of the girls was visiting from the country of Haiti. The Girl Scouts worked very hard, even when things weren’t going as smoothly as they could have, and they finished in just a few hours. After the packing was complete, we treated the scouts to a pizza lunch before they left for the day. A great time was had by all. We’ll miss partnering with the Girl Scouts on this campaign in the future.
