Our next scheduled packing date for
The Care Package Project™ November 6, 2010.
We've got a great lineup planned for the Marine Corps Birthday boxes to ship to our Marines in Afghanistan this year, and we need your help with two things.
First of all, we need a "Happy Birthday" card for every box that we ship. That's 1,200 cards we need from YOU, our Marine Corps families. We must receive them in our office by October 23rd to be included in the care packages we'll ship on November 6th. Please allow plenty of time for the cards to arrive to us at the following address:
MarineParents.com, Inc.
Attn: Happy Birthday Marine
PO Box 1115
Columbia, MO 65205-1115
The cards should be addressed to "Dear Marine" and include a personal, handwritten sentiment. If you will be sending several cards, you may put them in one large envelope to mail to us. We screen the cards before they are sent, so please do not seal the individual envelopes.
Coming Soon:
Marine Corps Birthday Cards!
We will have cards available for you to purchase in a package of 6 . They feature the Marine Corps mascot on the front, and the inside is blank so you can write your own personal message!
Secondly, we need items to include in the birthday boxes! Ideal items include a Hormel Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving, a package of Twinkies with candles or medicated foot powder, which is always a much-needed essential. We are currently holding drives for the turkey dinners and the foot powder. Click here for more information.
We need 1,200 of each of these items to include in the birthday boxes. Let us know if you would like to hold a care package drive to collect these items for us. Click here to hold your own drive or fundraiser! Please help us meet our goal by November 6th for the Marine Corps Birthday Boxes!

Several weeks ago, I registered our marine to receive a Care Package. He received it this week and was thrilled-especially the twinkie with a candle-Marine Birthday.
